What this is
A working demo built in a few hours to show the flow, not a finished product. Content, prices, images and reviews are invented.
Request, not shopping cart
The customer does not buy directly. They send a request, the owner approves or declines, and only a yes triggers payment. That is the flow Airbnb actually uses, and the one that lets the owner control how many jobs she takes.
Why money cannot be "held"
A card authorisation expires after a few days, and a sole trader cannot hold a customer's money in escrow without being a payment institution. What gives the same safety: nothing is charged until the owner has said yes and the price is known, then a deposit locks the dates and the balance falls due before delivery.
Payment
The payment step here is simulated. In a live solution this is Stripe Checkout, taking cards worldwide plus Apple Pay and Google Pay, paying out to a Norwegian account.
Languages
The whole site exists in Norwegian and English, including the form, the status pages and the emails that would go out. Switch in the top menu.
Deliberately missing
Login, real email delivery, calendar and capacity management, editable content, privacy policy and terms. The inbox sits open at /admin on purpose, so the flow can be shown without a password.
